Join the team building Opti-U.
Opti-U is a deep-tech performance digital twin for every athlete. It uses machine learning, mathematical modelling and statistics to learn how each person's body and behaviour respond to change, forecast where they are heading over the coming days and weeks, and test which changes work for them.
We are hiring at the founding stage, so the engineers who join now will shape both the technology and the company. We want people who do excellent technical work and care about the people the twin models.
Roles
<01>
ML and AI engineers
Build the models at the centre of the digital twin: personal baselines, state-space forecasting, simulation, anomaly detection and causal inference on noisy GPS, wearable and self-reported data. Decide how confident each output is, and when to hold it back.
<02>
Data engineers
Build the pipelines that feed the twin, from GPS, wearable and phone health platform ingestion through normalisation across providers, data-quality scoring and the feature sets the models train and run on. Every forecast depends on that data arriving clean, on time and with its source recorded.
<03>
Full-stack engineers
Work across the web app, the API and the backend services. The backend holds the source of truth, so business logic stays out of the frontend while the interface stays pleasant to use.
<04>
Software engineers
Work on the platform under the twin: data pipelines, monitoring, privacy controls, and the tests that tell us a release is safe to ship.
<05>
Mobile developers
Build the iOS and Android apps and the club dashboard, including wearable sync, daily check-ins and the views that show athletes and staff the twin. People open the app for a minute or two at a time, so small interaction details matter a lot.

Systems thinking
Opti-U is a set of connected models and feedback loops, so a change in one place often shows up somewhere else. We look for people who think about incentives, failure modes and knock-on effects before they ship.

Curiosity
The work draws on machine learning, statistics, physiology, behavioural science and product design, and nobody arrives knowing all of it. It suits people who like learning a new field and are comfortable saying when they don't know something.
